SMALL GROUPS are a vital component to healthy church culture that is intentional about integrating discipleship at its core, as modeled by Jesus.
“Discipleship is the model that Jesus gave us – it works and it is a key foundation to having a healthy church.  If you want to start a successful discipleship ministry, look at what Jesus did: he loved the world, ministered to many, but discipled a few. Find a few people who you think could become great discipleship leaders and start discipling them. Then, once they are ready, empower them to go and make their own disciples.”
— Ryan Brown, Director of US Discipleship Training and Leader Development, Life on Life, Perimeter Church, Atlanta, Georgia

WHAT IS THE VISION FOR DISCIPLESHIP AT ELEVATED LIFE CHURCH?

Our vision is to help individuals move along the path from where they are now to where God wants to lead them as emotionally and spiritually healthy, scripturally sound believers, who have a Biblical Christian Worldview and are equipped to disciple others.

WHAT IS OUR MISSION?

It is our mission to help people:
  1. identify where they are now on their path
  2. take their next step along that path
  3. develop critical spiritual disciplines in their lives

WHAT STRATEGY WILL WE USE?

Using the example that Jesus modeled for us in Matthew 4:19, we have identified the following four phases of a believer's discipleship path.

Matthew 4:19 (NLT) “Jesus called out to them…
  1. ‘Come,    (PHASE 1 - KNOW JESUS)
  2.  follow Me,    (PHASE 2 - FOLLOW JESUS)
  3. and I will show you     (PHASE 3 - REFLECT JESUS)
  4. how to fish for people.’”    (PHASE 4 - DO AS JESUS DID)
Each phase of the Discipleship Path offers an easy-to-access “on-ramp” with clearly defined next-steps leading toward the end goal of being a biblically sound (mature) believer who is equipped to impact others.

INVOLVEMENT IN A LOCAL SMALL GROUP IS A CRITICAL COMPONENT OF THE DISCIPLESHIP PATH.

If you are interested in becoming a small group leader, teacher, or host, please request membership to this group. Then check your email for important information to get you started.
Someone will contact you after you complete the pre-application
May the Lord bless you as you seek to get involved in this critical area of our church discipleship initiative.
